Chapter Benefits
Programs
- Our Chapter presents a range of activities throughout the year
(September - June).
- They feature individual guest speakers, panel discussions,
local
subject matter experts, tours, or a combination of these.
- Each program
is presented in an appropriate setting, often a members' facility,
and includes refreshments and time for members to network.
Education
- We encourage our members to both pursue and then maintain the CFM designation
by offering assistance to those who are preparing for the exam and continuing
education for current CFMs.
Communications
- The Manitoba Chapter's dynamic web site is the place to go for the
most current information about our activities and initiatives.
- When time is a consideration, our Chapter utilizes broadcast email
and fax technology to communicate with our members.
- Each year, the Chapter maintains a Membership Directory on our web
site to help members stay in touch with each other.
Networking
- We are a relationship association. All IFMA events are opportunities
for members to meet other members and develop professional relationship
and friendships.
- All members are invited to become active participants in the Chapter.
Joining one of the many committees is an easy way to meet other members
and have an effect on our profession.
Partnership Program: "Creating Connections"
- To provide our members
with opportunities for greater visibility in the FM community, we offer
a tiered partnership program with pledge
levels to suit various budgets. This program serves as the funding base
for our programs.
- Additional high visibility opportunities are available
for those who provide partnership support for various special events
including educational
seminars.
Job Search Assistance
- A section of our web site is dedicated to workplace information including
job postings.
- In addition, Chapter members looking for new opportunities can post
their search at no charge.
Professional Alliances
- The Manitoba Chapter has reciprocal and cooperative
relationships with allied societies and associations.
- We team up to present
special programs
and promote each other's activities. Check out the
Links section of this web site.
